Poetry is an under-appreciated art form in modern times. God used it in the Hebrew of the Older Testament. Much of the original Hebrew rhymes. There are also many “plays on words.” All this is missed in translations. This morning I read again the following anonymous poem from the front of The Authority of the Believer by John A. MacMillan. If every individual in the Body of Christ would make the last two lines their confession, we would make huge strides in our development into the image of the Master.Read More
How Do We Obey This Scripture Now? I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.-First Timothy 2:1-4Read More
We have two scheduled phone calls for corporate prayer weekly.
Wednesday at 8 AM CST and Sunday at 3 PM CST. And at noon on Wednesdays we have a livestream prayer meeting from Prayer Mountain in the Ozarks.
From time to time (its happened only twice) we have the ability to call a special prayer meeting. We call it an emergency prayer call. Though by no means do we have the intent that the sky is falling and we have to pray.Read More

Today I read Psalm 73. I knew basically what it was about. It is about seeing the wicked prosper and not understanding it “UNTIL I went into the Sanctuary of God, then I understood their end” (v.17).
But the Holy Spirit so quickened another verse to me that I have meditated it ever since. And I wanted to share it with others. I texted it to my children and grandchildren. I tweeted it. And now I am sending it to you.
On our Wednesday 8 AM Prayer Call, someone from Minneapolis urgently asked us to pray about the tragedy that occurred Monday May 25th. A video recorded the senseless choking to death of George Floyd by one policeman while others stood by doing nothing to stop it.I immediately thought of a word from the Lord that I’d received about God’s plan for the area. I said to the prayer call participants, “I’ll see if I can locate it, and I’ll post it later.” But without even getting up from my prayer chair, I looked into a woven basket at my feet. It contains Bibles and things I’m studying along with a couple of small note books to write prayer notes or things I receive from the Lord. There it was!Read More
Then I spent telephone time with Lynne Hammond. Always a joy! And, by the way, my granddaughter, Hannah, asked me if she could use our 8am Wednesday Israel Prayer Call number to have a Q & A call with Lynne. Hannah collected some questions from some of her younger praying friends. Lynne very comfortably, and highly anointed answered them. It was so good, I got in on the call at the end.Read More
Israel’s BordersGazaWe drove north from Beer Sheva to the Elah Valley, site of David’s victory over Goliath. The place of the confrontation has been purposely kept in its natural state. Most of us gathered 5 smooth stones from the brook to take home. Chip easily got into the telling the account of probably his favorite O.T. hero. We looked up at the hills where the opposing armies encamped. Then, some of the group saw lights flash in the sky. It was the Iron Dome defense system taking out rockets being launched from Gaza just a few miles to the West.Read More
