Opportunity
My son, Chip, who pastors with his wife, Candace, A Glorious Church Fellowship in Collinsville, Oklahoma called me last week excited about what he was going to preach to his congregation. Of course, my heart was happy as he preached it first to me on the phone. He’d heard a minister say that the Chinese word for “crisis” is made up of two words. (If I’m not mistaken that would be two picture words.) One meaning “danger,” and the other, “opportunity.” In other words in every crisis while there is danger, there is opportunity.

Autumn Assembly 2019
Sometimes you leave a meeting, “hoping” what the Lord wanted was accomplished. But with this meeting, I left each session comfortable in my inner man with trusting that His purposes were reached as we worked together with Him.

Sitting here in Northern California near Mount Shasta. The gorgeous McCloud River is rushing by just under the porch where I sit. Such a beautiful sound! A friend’s family bought this land years ago, and she invited me to come here for a week to rest and prepare for next week’s Autumn Assembly of Prayer.
