Whoever sits in the refuge (secret place) of The Most High (Elyon) shall abide in the shadow of Shaddai… 2 I say of Jehovah, He is my refuge and my fortress; My God (Elyon), in whom I trust. 3For He delivers me from the snare of the fowler, And from the deadly pestilence.
He covers me with His pinions, And under His wings I take refuge: His truth is my shield and buckler. 51 am not afraid for the terror by night, Nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6For the pestilence that walketh in darkness, Nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
A thousand shall fall at my side, And ten thousand at my right hand; But it shall not come nigh me. 8Only with my eyes shall I behold, And see the reward of the wicked.
For Thou, 0 Jehovah, art my refuge! I have made the Most High (Elyon) my habitation; 10There shall no evil befall me, Neither shall any plague come nigh my tent. 11For He gives His angels charge over me, To keep me in all my ways.
They bear me up in their hands, Lest I dash my foot against a stone. 131 shall tread upon the lion and adder: The young lion and the serpent shall I trample under foot.
Therefore my Heavenly Father says to me:
Because You have set your love upon Me, therefore will I deliver you: I will set you on high, because you have known My Name. 15You shall call upon Me, and I will answer you; I will be with you in trouble: I will deliver you, and honor you.
With long life will I satisfy you, And show you My salvation.
